There are many settings in this lovely book. The first setting is Mr. Benedict's house. It is not a huge mansion, but it is a pretty big house. However, this particular setting does not play a big role in the book. Another setting is on "The Shortcut". The Shortcut is a very big ship, but the Mysterious Benedict Society only had a very small cabin on it. The last of the three biggest settings is the island where Mr. Curtain is staying. All of the action takes place on this island. My favorite setting is the ship because I like how the author describes it.
